City of Santa Clara Will Honor Beyoncé Knowles-Carter with Silver Key to the City and Name Her Honorary Mayor during “Renaissance World Tour”

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – On Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023, the Santa Clara City Council will be announcing a proclamation declaring that Beyoncé Knowles-Carter will be granted the Key to the City and the title of Honorary Mayor for ceremonial purposes only on August 30, 2023, as Beyoncé brings the “Renaissance World Tour” to Levi’s® Stadium in Santa Clara. This marks Beyoncé’s fifth appearance at Levi’s® Stadium. Her previous performances include the 2018 “On the Run II Tour”, the “Formation Tour” in 2016 and her debut performance at the stadium during the Super Bowl 50 halftime show.

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, an iconic figure in the world of music and culture, has captivated audiences worldwide with her exceptional talent, empowering messages, and groundbreaking performances. As an artist and humanitarian, she has left an indelible mark on the global stage.

Beyoncé’s “Renaissance World Tour” promises to be a momentous event, and Santa Clara looks forward to hosting her and her dedicated fan base affectionally known as “The Bey Hive.”
